Paul Bradley has been a professional aviator and instructor for more than twenty years and holds Commercial Pilot and CFII pilot certificates in rotorcraft and a fixed wing multi-engine rating. Prior to becoming the chief pilot for the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, Paul flew utility operations for a number of organizations whose contracts included power line maintenance, fire fighting, and charters.
In the past 17 years, his responsibilities have been as a pilot for the law enforcement agency responsible for setting the bar with a rescue technique known as long line rescue. Relying on his skills in vertical reference flying, Paul and his crews have rescued hundreds of people stuck in precarious places in almost every environment – day or night. Their assistance is sought after over several California counties, saving both time and hardship patients and ground crews typically endure.
