NVG Training
Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) are a fantastic asset for pilots and crew to use when operating at night. They are most commonly seen within Law Enforcement and EMS operators. NVGs are approved for Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
The Training
The training includes the required ground and flight dealing with positives of the goggles and different ways the goggles can help or hinder performance in certain situations. Upon successful completion of NVG training, the pilot will receive a logbook endorsement for one of the following:
- 61.31(K) Pilot in Command
- Recent Recurrent Flight Experience 61.57 (F)(G)
Your Instructor
Paul has actively used NVGs in nighttime operations over the last 20 years and is an FAA certified instructor. His experience in real-world environments and with multiple generations of NVGs provides a better experience for the student and a wider range of training.
The Aircraft
Flight training may be completed in your company aircraft or call Vertical Hover to discuss additional options.
